Restorative Treatment

Aims to restore defected tooth material

Restorative Treatment

Recently, with the development of technology and the advancement of material technology, restorative treatments have come a long way.

To a certain extent, caries, abrasions, and aesthetic defects can be safely restored with composite restorations. If the material loss is high, we can choose materials such as ceramics, hybrid ceramics.

The most commonly used materials in restorative treatment can be considered as composite, full ceramic lithium disilicate (Emax), hybrid composites.

Amalgam, which was used frequently in the past, is not preferred much today due to its disadvantages.

Porcelain Fillings
(Overlay - Onlay)

In cases of major damage to the tooth, the composite fillings that we routinely apply may not be sufficient. In these cases, we can use a laboratory-made restoration as an adhesive on the tooth we prepared.

E-max, hybrid ceramic and composite can be used as material.

It can also be used for regulating the functions of contact with opposing teeth and for aesthetic development, especially for the replacement of old amalgam fillings, the replacement of old composite fillings, tooth fractures, caries that have destroyed the protrusions of the tooth, which we call tubercle, and its application in teeth with thin walls.

porcelain fillings; In other words, we can prefer onlays and overlays instead of crown and bridge restorations, which we call veneers today.

These fillings, which we stick on the tooth surface prepared in a way to protect the tooth as much as possible, can be much more protective than the crown preparation.
